Register for the Manufacturing 4.0 Project
The Ministry of Industrial Development, SMEs and Cooperatives (Industrial Development Division) is inviting Expression of Interest from eligible manufacturing enterprises willing to benefit from the Manufacturing 4.0 project, as announced in Budget Speech 2024/2025. The objective of the project is to assist manufacturing enterprises to upgrade their business operations through adoption of advanced technologies associated with Industry 4.0 for higher competitiveness.
Project Components by Technology Experts
- A capacity building on the application of Industry 4.0 Technologies (Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Cloud Computing, Industrial Internet of Things and Additive Manufacturing, etc.).
- In-house interventions at factory level to advise on appropriate advanced technologies to be adopted.
- Elaboration of a Digital Roadmap for each beneficiary enterprise, focusing on the Industry 4.0 Technologies to be acquired along with cost estimates, potential suppliers and skills upgrading requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
- Enterprises should be involved in manufacturing activities and in operation for the last 5 years.
- Enterprises should be either SMEs (turnover of less than Rs 100 million) or Mid-Market Enterprises (turnover between Rs 100 million and Rs 250 million).
- Enterprises should be committed to adopt the recommended Industry 4.0 Technologies, if selected for the project.
- Enterprises should not have benefitted from a similar project supported by Government.

Selection on a First-Come-First-Serve basis. Participation in the project is free of cost.
